The Great Upcycle Challenge Pomona Yearly event in Noosa Shire focussing on creative ideas in how to upcycle and diminish local waste.

Festivities include talks, workshops, competitions, markets and more taking place during National Recycling Week in the town of Pomona, Qld. The Great Upcycle Challenge began in 2018 in support of National Recycle Week (2nd week each November), a Pomona and District Community House initiative which resulted in a now annual, upcycling competition and is a catalyst for growing activities in town. is inventive and fun event encourages all-ages and all-community participation. Through the Challenges and Activities we aspire to educate people to think about what waste is and how we can creatively Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. To this end, throughout the year The Great Upcycle Challenge team raise money to present low cost and free activities to community.
