Last week was Volunteer Week and saw the Shire of Murray Volunteer Celebrations.

Many of our hardworking volunteers were recognised for their years of service to the Murray Music and Drama Club, including four for Outstanding Contribution - Vice President Tammy Peckover, Secretary Grace Crawford, and Life Members Don and Val McClements

Without our volunteers, the Club could not operate and provide space for people in our community to come together, create, and tell stories on stage!

Thank you to each and every person who makes the Club the wonderful community it is.

🏰 The final curtain has fallen on Camelot 🏰

What an unforgettable journey it has been bringing Camelot to life. From the first rehearsal to our final curtain call last night, this production has been filled with laughter, music, friendship and so much heart.

To our incredible cast, crew, creative team, and volunteers — thank you for the passion, dedication and magic you brought to Camelot ✨

And to our wonderful audiences, thank you for joining us in the kingdom and sharing in the great tale. Your support is what makes it all possible!

Though the banners may now come down, the memories made throughout this season will stay with us for a very long time.

🎭 It’s been a big start to the year here at MMDC! 🎭

First was 50th Annual Robert Finley Awards, where the club was recognised for its efforts during our 2025 season:

Then on 26th January, we were honoured to receive the ‘Community Group of the Year’ Award at the Shire of Murray’s Australia Day Awards.

This award recognises the hard work and support of our volunteers, performers, creatives, and patrons.

MMDC is grateful for your ongoing support!
