This year at QSFF26, we’re honouring that legacy with a special anniversary screening of BOUND alongside new industry initiatives like Q***r Screen Studio! 🎬Get your tickets now: https://q***rscreen.org.au/sessions/bound-30th-anniversary/

“They are like these notes written on a piece of paper slipped through the crack of a door, in some regards. I feel like I can see my subconscious struggling to add their two cents to the things that we are both making... Like, the opening shot of Bound is a closet; you look at The Matrix and themes of identity, themes of liberation.” —— Lilly Wachowski

SPECIAL SCREENING: SUNDAY 6 SEPTEMBER, 7:00 PM
https://q***rscreen.org.au/sessions/goran-stolevskis-shorts-package/

Following Q***r Screen Studio, join us from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Palace Cinemas Moore Park for a networking celebration, followed by a special screening of Goran Stolevski’s Shorts Showcase! Explore the formative early works that launched his career before his acclaimed debut feature, You Won't Be Alone.

Spanning Australia and North Macedonia, these four films reveal a director drawn to outsiders, fractured families, and unexpected intimacy. Together, they trace the emergence of Stolevski’s distinct cinematic language: emotionally direct yet unpredictable, deeply compassionate toward characters on the margins, and unafraid to move between tenderness, humour, and darkness.
