18 can be a tricky age. You're figuring out who you are and what you want to be, all while trying to navigate the big new world of possibilities that comes with being an adult.

We asked the cast of The Almighty Sometimes to share what they thought they knew at that age, and what they would say to their 18 year old selves now 💘

Our wonderful cast will be taking to the stage on Friday for the first Preview performance of Kendall Feaver's touching coming-of-age story.

The Almighty Sometimes is showing at Subiaco Arts Centre from 19 June – 5 July. Don't miss it!

Australian playwright Kendall Feaver recently spoke with The West Australian about her award-winning debut play, The Almighty Sometimes, which we are set to open at Subiaco Arts Centre next week!

“It started out as wanting to write a play from that young person’s perspective, and all of that is still in there. It then also became a play about everyone else around her and what it means to care for someone who struggles and who at times can dominate the lives, the identity and the autonomy of others.

It wasn’t just a story of working out who you are and establishing your own autonomy for the person at the centre of this crisis. It was just as much a story about identity and autonomy for a mother who’s lived her life in a highest of stakes situation."

In The Almighty Sometimes, protagonist Anna wants to be a writer, so it seemed only fitting that we asked our cast for their favourite books and what they are currently reading 📖💭
