We are excited to share fresh footage from Emma Fishwick’s new work in development, From Here, Together.
From Here, Together explores ideas of space and progress, past and present, and the palpable tensions between. This work will be the sequel to Emma’s 2021 Perth Festival show, Slow Burn, Together. Working with an ensemble of performers and core collaborators, Emma’s works fluctuate between contemporary dance & moving tableau, achieved through spacious extended scenes that stretch images into events. Where Slow Burn, Together attempted to arrest time while poking holes in the logics and aesthetics of the past, From Here, Together criss-crosses traces of what has come before with a mindful meditation on where do we go from here (together)?
Emma and the team recently completed the second phase of the project’s development, seeking to go into production and premiere presentation in 2025-26.

The Black Brass team is in Albany for two weeks, remounting the work before Friday's presentation, and heading to Geraldton next.
We've had an amazing start to our time here in Albany, soaking in the warm welcome from this incredible town, including the team at the Albany Entertainment Centre.
We kicked off with a meet-and-greet session, connecting with some community members. This morning, we gave a little taster of the show at a local cafe, then hit the community radio.
Next week, local TAFE students will join us behind the scenes, and more radio chats await.
This unique regional remount is so special, and fosters genuine community engagement.
Here's a glimpse.
