The General Committee would like to do a BIG SHOUT OUT to AHS Services WA who have been a major sponsor of the club this season.

The AHS team have been helping us resolve some pretty grim flooding issues on the MX and SX tracks and we are sincerely grateful for all their help!

ABOUT THE ROLE
AHS Services WA Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Plumbers and Gasfitters to join our team in Perth, WA.

• QUAD AND 2 WHEELERS RACE AND COMPETE TOGETHER.
• Quads start after 2 wheelers for safety reasons.
• Teams is a relay style race.
• Please ensure you check the age/ bike size restrictions for the club prior to registering juniors in the Club Rules or attached table.
• All juniors over 12 will need to wear high visibility vest when entering into the Senior event.
• Cost includes WASE electronic timing chip hire. Racers will be charged additional $100.00 if their race chip is not returned after the race.
• Results will be available at https://my.raceresult.com/285071/results as well as being posted on our FACEBOOK page.
• Junior short course is approximately 1.5 km lap around the MX track. Scoring is a tally of laps.
• Junior long course is approximately 2.5 km lap around the MX track and by the river. Scoring is a tally of laps.
• Long course is approximately 17 km through soft sand around the North, South Pony and MX track. Scoring is a tally of laps.
Please note withdrawals and refunds will be accepted 7 days before the event, after this date a medical certificate must be presented for a refund. After the sight lap you may select to withdraw from the event.

Ambulance Cover
• Personal Ambulance cover is compulsory. You cannot enter the event without Ambulance Cover.
• First Aid facilities will be present during all racing conditions.
Race Number
• A Race Number will be allocated during the registration process and will be provided to you at sign in on the event day. Sign in is located at the club house to the right of the Canteen.

Facilities
• Canteen, Tea and Coffee, Toilets, Showers and Bar.
• No BYO permitted.
• Riders cannot consume alcohol until the end of racing.

Camping on the Saturday night is welcomed and encouraged.

*Track Update*

The MX and SX tracks remain closed for ongoing maintenance but we are able to open the club for members to ride the North and South pony and the Kids track.

Access to the North pony is next to the first bend of the driveway once through the entry gate.

Access to the South pony is via the same North pony entry point, so you will be doing both loops if you want to ride the south.

Please respect the barriers in place, as the MX and SX tracks are not ready to ride yet.

The club will be closed again on Saturday 31st August and Saturday 7th September for the next round of maintenance. There will be no riding on these days as we will have heavy machinery in use.

*Track Maintenance Update*

Quick shout out to our General Committee who have been working tirelessly over the last few weekends to remove a significant volume of collected rain from the MX and SX tracks and install new drainage so that the situation is prevented next winter.

We have some more machinery scheduled in this weekend and the weekend of the 7 and 8 September - to address parts of the SX, MX, and the track under the bridge, where the rain has done some real damage.

Pending the outcome of this weekend, we are hoping to reopen the club next week, albeit with the SX, MX and bridge track still closed for maintenance.
The intent will be to open only for access to the north and south pony tracks.

There is also additional maintenance scheduled in the lead up to the Pony Express, so stay tuned here for all our maintenance updates!

To all our 2024 members and riding community,

It has been a challenging season so far, with the hot weather bringing some pretty extreme heat and dust, and the rainy weather not bringing us too much joy with some seriously soggy track conditions.
We are passionately scheduling maintenance and already looking forward to reopening in a few weeks once everything is safe, neat and tidy.

By way of update, we have also made some mid-season changes to our General Committee for 2024, in an effort to improve the service we offer you all.
