KAZADI, CO-ACCUSED MWAKA HALWIINDI, MUZANDU PLEAD NOT GUILTY IN OBSCENE MATERIAL CASE

Film producer David Kazadi and his two co-accused, Mwaka Halwiindi and Ruth Muzandu, have pleaded not guilty to charges relating to the alleged production, possession, and circulation of obscene material before the Lusaka Magistrates' Court.
According to the allegations, Kazadi is accused of producing and sharing videos involving Halwiindi and other alleged explicit content between January 2023 and June 2025. Halwiindi has also denied the charges levelled against her.
Meanwhile, Muzandu pleaded not guilty to charges of allegedly circulating and possessing the material. The court heard that she is accused of sharing the content through a WhatsApp group known as “Trip to South Africa.”
The three appeared before the court this morning and were formally informed of the charges against them. The matter has been set down for trial on August 24 and 25, 2026, when the allegations will be examined through court proceedings.

Congratulations to Aston Martin Chungu on his outstanding victory at the highly competitive Mr. Matero 2026 Bodybuilding Championship held at Golden Hall in Matero. Competing against some of the constituency’s finest athletes, Chungu displayed exceptional physique, conditioning, symmetry, and stage presence to emerge as the overall champion and claim the prestigious title.
The championship, organized by the Zambia Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (ZBBFF), marked the successful return of the event after a one-year break and attracted competitors from various gyms across Matero. The event was graced by Guest of Honour PDK of PDK Enterprises, whose generous support included a K20,000 cash boost to the winner’s prize fund, demonstrating his commitment to the growth of bodybuilding and youth empowerment.
Chungu’s triumph signals the rise of a new champion and sets the stage for even greater success on the road to Mr. Iron Man 2026.
