๐ŸŒ„โœจDiscover Gorgeous Gorges only a short drive from the coastal town of Kalbarri.

Kalbarri National Park's spectacular gorges have been carved by the Murchison River through sandstone laid down more than 400 million years ago. For the Nanda People, Traditional Custodians of this Country, the gorges are part of a cultural landscape rich with stories, knowledge and deep spiritual connection stretching back countless generations.

Today, a network of walking trails provides the perfect way to marvel at the towering vermilion walls of Tumblagooda sandstone and discover the enduring cultural significance of this remarkable landscape.

๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฅพ Whether youโ€™re in the mood for an easy family stroll to a scenic lookout or a rewarding multi-day hike, Kalbarri National Park Trail Network has you covered.

๏‚ง Kalbarri Skywalk Trail โ€“ enjoy an easy 400m stroll to discover a birds eye view of the Murchison River from Kaju Yatka (Kalbarri Skywalk) two twin cantilevered viewing platforms that project up to 25m beyond the top of the gorge, hovering more than 100 meters above the river.

๏‚ง Natureโ€™s Window Walk Trail โ€“ a picturesque moderate 800m return walk to the iconic wind-eroded opening in the layered sandstone that frames a view of the majestic Murchison River.

๏‚ง Z Bend River Trail โ€“ climb over boulders, through narrow passages and down ladders on this strenuous yet rewarding 2.6km return trail.

๏‚ง Murchison River Gorge Walk โ€“ an unmarked 38km multi-day return trail from Ross Graham Lookout to The Loop that will provide ample challenged for experienced hikers.

As you enjoy the trails in Kalbarri National Park, take a moment to appreciate both the natural forces that carved this remarkable gorge network and the ancient cultural heritage that continues to give it meaning.

๐Ÿ’™ Winter is waterfall season in the Perth Hills, and there's no better time to explore the Foot of the Falls Trail at Lesmurdie Falls!

๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธThis moderate 2km return walk in Mundy Regional Park takes you from the top lookout above the falls, with sweeping views across the Swan Coastal Plain and all the way west toward Perth, before descending to the foot of the waterfall. Along the way you'll follow Lesmurdie Brook through beautiful jarrah bushland (keep an eye out for impressive fungi) and enjoy ever-changing perspectives of one of the Darling Scarp's most impressive waterfalls.

Recent winter rains transform Lesmurdie Falls into a spectacular cascade, making this one of the best times of year to visit. Pack a picnic and take your time at the lower picnic area, where you can pause to soak in the sights and sounds of the rushing water before tackling the return climb. And did someone mention that this trail is dog friendly? ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ
