Stacy Gardoll Art

Stacy Gardoll Art I'm a botanical oil painter based in the Perth foothills, sharing the beauty of our native species. These are available framed or unframed.

I create original oil paintings on canvas, exploring the natural world. At the moment, my work is focused on the beauty of Western Australian flora, particularly flowering Mallees and Eucalyptus. I also offer a range of Limited Edition Reproduction Prints in a variety of sizes, which can be ordered through this page. I happily accept commissions, so if you see something you like, but it's not quit

e what you're after, give me a call or an email to chat about creating a unique piece of art just for you.

There have been some exciting developments at our place, with construction of the new Studio and Framing Workshop underway.

We're not exactly sure when the completion date will be, as the last stages of the build will be done slowly as we can afford them...but we're ridiculously excited.

Anyone who knows me, or has seen my teeny tiny studio in our spare room, will know this has been a long time coming, and a larger studio is well overdue. Plus I'll get to work in the same space as my framing hubbie Phil, as he hasn't had a space to frame for a while now. So it's an exciting step forward for both of us- an investment in some long terms goals, finally being realised.

Watch this space πŸ”¨

Huge thanks to Steve at TruCut Carpentry - Steve Risdon for his fabulous work!

Big thanks to Hills Botanic and Tanya from Scented Warrior for this fantastic collaboration. These lovely candles smell divine- distinctly Australian, with some familiar artworks 😊

The last few little touches to this piece were added this afternoon, so it's all finished, and patiently drying on the easel.

These beautiful Eucalyptus Rhodanthas were photographed in Kings Park and Botanic Garden a couple of years ago, and I've been waiting for the time to be right to paint them. It was definitely time for these special flowers to shine.

This piece would add a pop of colour to a living space, or a sunny vibe to a restful space, like a bedroom. The possibilities are endless!

On the easel today- these cheerful Eucalyptus Rhodantha blossoms are slowly emerging from the chaos. Slow progress is still progress!

Today I've been chipping away at the pale yellow flower, with the teeny brushes getting a workout. Going a bit cross-eyed though, which means it's time for a rest. 😴

Rhodanthas in the Rain has always been one of my favourites- the beautiful deep red Rhodantha blossoms captured just after a shower of rain, fresh with raindrops, and bees 🐝

The original of this one has found it's forever home, but prints are always available on my website. They look great any size, but I love them big, so I can enjoy all the details.

Check the SHOP section of my website for pricing info, or get in touch if you'd like a print pricelist.

This latest piece is something different for me, with a bouquet of sunflowers, roses and hydrangeas. It has been a special project for a collaboration with - details coming soon!

But for today, it's tools down, with only a few details left to do tomorrow. Adding the finishing details is absolutely my favourite part of any piece, so I'm looking forward to that.

It certainly has been lovely having these sunny blooms in the studio, especially on a dull day like today .
Happy Wednesday everyone 🌻🌻🌻

Mucking around in the studio today taking photos of my work, myself, the dog. Finally found one I kinda like, so here I am, in all my glorious imperfection.

It can be really hard as an artist to know how much of oneself to post online, without looking preachy, smug or disingenuous. The flipside is also not wanting to be absent from my own page, with just photos of artworks in various stages. It's one I struggle with as an introvert, so you'll probably not see me chatting to the camera in a performative way (worst nightmare!) anytime soon.

But occasionally I like to put myself out here, and say hello! And to genuinely thank every one of you for following along, commenting, liking, and coming to my events. It is so appreciated, and means the world 🌎
