This is really cool and brings back so many memories from the Greenwich days! It is a recording of RTR FM broadcasting and "net casting" live from Greenwich on a Saturday night. It is a time capsule of early World Wide Web lingo especially the video and audio programs (CU-See Me anyone) and numeric web addresses. I love that the first song is George Benson's - You Can Do It Baby from one of the best albums of the 90's Nuyorican Soul by Masters at Work. This experience culminated in the team live streaming Perth band Jebediah's performance on the ABC's Recovery Show into the New York Music Festival at Irving Plaza. A real world first!
It was part of a Revelation Magazine launch event in the US and included the group UFO doing a set for us to stream back to Triple J. Good times!!

With the Revelation Film Festival on once again in Perth bigger and better than ever. I just wanted to take a moment to remember its humble beginnings in the Back Room of Greenwich.

It was always such a pleasure dealing with Richard Sowada every year and hearing what amazing cult classic films he had in his program. I specifically remember seeing Wild Angels and Touch of Evil lying on the bean bags drinking cocktails!

This is from their website and also mentions REVelation Magazine as the early naming sponsor of the Festival.

Thanks Peter Bartley for this beautiful photo of Neil, who was one of the regulars of His Majesty's Tavern. Neil continued to come down for a beer and a chat as we transitioned to Greenwich. All the staff loved Neil and his stories.
