Go from slow to pro. All skill levels welcome. Professionally trained & experienced instructor. Get familiar with sewing, patterns and your machine. Novices to the more experienced welcome. Friendly, bright, stylish studio environment in Coolbellup, Western Australia. Term fees are $380 for 2-2.5hr group classes.

TOP TIP: Keep your hang tapes from retail garment purchases to use as stay tape in your sewing projects.
This marle interlock cotton needs stabilising at the shoulder seam. Use the pattern shoulder measurement to cut the tape - the cut fabric may already have stretched so don’t use it.

By learning to sew, you can take up hems, lengthen sleeves, put in some darts and learn the fundamentals of getting fabric to look how you want and do what you want … by it’s rules. South of the river.

Enrolments are on again from this Sunday 5/7 until 20th July for classes starting 21st July 2026. $410 for 10 weekly sessions. Small groups of 4 max. Experience instructor guiding you to use sewing patterns. Hundreds of people have transformed their sewing ability from zero to hero.

I had such a creative week this week. Here’s a peak behind the scenes. Conceptualising, choosing fabric, patternmaking, cutting, sewing, fitting, pattern alts … and painting for charity (you’ll see the start of a Marrakesh Riad I had the fortune of visiting before COVID).
