Thank you to everyone who applied. Unfortunately I had to withdraw Flaming Locomotive from Fringe 2018. The space wasn’t proving suitable for the work I was trying to program, although it is a great space. Thank you to Art Gallery WA and Fringe World for their support. I'm very sorry for any false hope and wish you all the best with your search and Fringe.

The Flaming Locomotive is excited to announce EOI's for its 2018 FRINGE WORLD season. As an award winning independent theatre venue we provide intimate and comfortable spaces in the heart of the FRINGE WORLD Central hub. The program is curated, The Flaming Locomotive is looking to support artists presenting storytelling, theatre, music and contemporary performance. Last year 6 of our 23 productions were nominated for a total of 9 FRINGE WORLD Awards, with Lucy Peach taking out the prestigious Martin Sims Award.

We activate spaces at Art Gallery WA Theatrette and the State Theatre Centre with seating between 50 - 100. We provide the venue fully staffed with FOH, Tech Operator and marketing support. All you need is your best work and a willingness to promote your show.

We are back for Fringe World 2018 :-) After a hugely successful Fringe in 2017 with new venue spaces, 9 Award Nominations and a very excited Martin Sims Award winning artist The Flaming Locomotive will be open for Expressions of Interest soon ....

Fringe World Festival wrapped up last night with the FRINGE WORLD AWARDS! We were proud to have SIX of the flaming locomotive works nominated for awards (Ru (//) Cercle, My Greatest Period Ever, Paradise Lost, When He Gets That Way and Risscht! The Little Match Girl), with Lucy Peach WINNING The Martin Simms Award (Joint with Bus Boy) and Flaming Locomotive being given an Honourable Mention for BEST Independent Program!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone that joined us in the flaming locomotive venues this Fringe World Festival. Over 3 weeks, we covered 3 venues with an independent program created by artists, presenting 23 shows. We welcomed over 4,500 audience members to the venues that saw a variety of work from storytelling to comedy to music and dance.

Thank you again for joining us and we can't waiting to see you at FRINGE WORLD 2018!
