SHOWDOWN 🤍

What a year we’ve had.

Thank you to every performer who stepped onto our stage, every family who supported from the audience, and everyone who believed in what Showdown stands for. We are so incredibly grateful for the talent, the community, the support networks, and the highly experienced judges who joined us in 2025.

Showdown is a family-owned and run company, and this year our family is growing, we’re about to welcome a brand new little member to our tribe. Because of this, our directors have made the very tough decision to take a step back this year and focus on our new bubble of joy as we navigate becoming parents for the first time.

To everyone who has been part of this journey, whether you performed at Showdown 24/25 thank you from the bottom of our hearts 🤍

And don’t worry… this isn’t goodbye.
We’ll be back in 2027, bigger and better than ever.

Meet Our Dance Judge – Dani Zink!🌟

We are beyond excited to welcome Dani to our judging panel for The Showdown 2025!💃✨

Perth born and bred, Dani’s dance journey began at the prestigious Debra McCulloch Dance Academy, where she trained in all genres, tap, jazz, ballet, acro, lyrical, contemporary, and more. With Full CSTD Diplomas in Theatrical, Tap, and Modern Jazz, Dani brings a wealth of technical knowledge and passion to the stage.

She’s received numerous awards for her choreography and performance both locally and internationally, including:
🏆 CSTD & AODC Malaysia Highest Scoring Troupes
🏆 Martin Rubenstein Classical Award
🏆 Premier Danseur Award
🏆 Gold Star Tap & Blue Sash Theatrical Awards
🏆 Full Summer Scholarship to Brent Street

Her international experience includes choreographing and performing in Singapore, Malaysia, Jakarta, and even Disneyland America! 🎭🌏

Now an accredited adjudicator through Transit Dance, Dani is known for her unbiased, uplifting critiques and deep respect for all dance styles and performers.

We can’t wait for our performers to showcase their talent in front of such an inspiring and accomplished judge!

🌟 Meet Our Judge: Amy from Bright Side Productions! 🌟
We’re beyond excited to welcome back our incredible triple threat judge, Amy, to Showdown 2025!

Armed with two Bachelor degrees from WAAPA, an MBA, and over a decade of diverse experience in the performing arts, Amy is a true powerhouse. As the founder of not-for-profit Bright Side Productions, she leads innovative educational and theatrical projects, including school holiday programs, family musicals, and even improvised musicals utilising ChatGPT!
Amy is also the co-artistic director at Western Sky Projects, currently serving as Lead Producer for Urinetown at The Liberty Theatre this November. Her impressive stage credits include her professional debut in the world premiere of Mimma: A Musical of War and Friendship, a ground-breaking role as the first female Weasel in The Wind in the Willows, and award-winning cabaret Golden Age Girls.
She regularly tours Australia with the National Theatre for Children, and her self-devised works have wowed audiences at Fringe Festivals nationwide. Later this year, Amy is set to take her new show Bibbity Bobbity Bondi to the Edinburgh Fringe!
With her wealth of experience and passion for nurturing young talent, Amy brings a unique perspective to our judging panel. We can’t wait for our performers to shine in front of such an inspiring mentor!
