Wednesday, 6/5/26 we reluctantly said goodbye to our beautiful brown boy, Bear.
Inseparable from his sister Lucy, and now leaving a massive hole in our hearts. Bloody cancer took him far too soon.
Our loving, one ear up and one ear down, 8 year old snuggle buddy, climber, ratter, foodie, squeaky toy killer, kitchen companion, gorgeous natured boy brought us so much love, laughter and joy every single day.
We are missing you terribly.
Run free beautiful Bear. RIP sweet boy 😔💔

Sadly our time with our beloved Ted-E-Bear is nearing its end. December 18 he had a splenectomy with a large malignant tumor removed with an unknown and uncertain future. Sadly last night the vet confirmed Bear has numerous tumors on his liver which are bleeding and causing a number of issues as you can imagine. We love our 8 year old brother and sister pair, now we are processing the next few days. Feeling sad 😢

Our Bear had his spleen and a cancerous tumor removed in December and we were told he may not live long. He's on Hills Onc Care high protein kibble and has been doing well but very cuddly and needy. Wants to sit on top of me as soon as I sit down, always on my heels. This is a video of him plonking his head onto my chest after scratching his tummy.

Today I got my splenectomy stitches out ✨ and had some little adventures with Mum and Nic. 🐾

I met lots of lovely humans who thought I was pretty cute, met a rabbit, budgies and canaries for the very first time, enjoyed some sneaky cream from the girls’ drinks, and soaked up cuddles from the sweetest waitress.

Sadly, my tumour results came back with a difficult prognosis following my splenectomy and ruptured tumour removal on 18 December.

I’ve been diagnosed with haemangiosarcoma (HSA) a highly malignant cancer of the blood vessel cells. It can be fast-growing, and now the focus is on keeping me comfortable and happy. Mum has ordered me some special oncology support biscuits to help my blood health 💕

Despite it all, today was a really good day.
Now I’m resting in the air-con with my sister, feeling loved and content 🐾🤍
