Another beautiful and inspiring Art & Sip workshop — Sunflowers in Van Gogh style! 🌻✨
You can never go wrong with this style, especially if you’re a beginner. I keep coming back to it because it’s such a wonderful way to learn, relax and simply enjoy the process of creating.
What I love most is seeing how 22 completely different people can be inspired by the same artwork and create 23 completely different paintings.
I never ask my students to copy an artwork 100%. Instead, I encourage them to take inspiration from it and create their own interpretation — their own colours, textures, details and personality. And this is exactly what makes every painting unique.
A huge amount of work goes into organising each workshop, and seeing everyone so happy, proud and excited about their creations makes it all worthwhile. 💛
23 people, lots of creativity, beautiful energy, plenty of laughs — and a wonderful non-alcoholic Art & Sip experience.

Today we had the opening at the City of Joondalup Exhibition at Joondalup Contemporary Art Gallery, where our amazing JCAA art group is proudly exhibiting their artworks.

It was a very special day, and we were delighted to have some wonderful guests with us . Thank you for joining us and making this day even more memorable! ❤️

Another amazing Art & Sip we had today at the Bunnings!🐙✨

Today, everyone created a Happy Octopus — but it was never really about painting an octopus “correctly.”

There was no need to make it look like anyone else’s. Everyone painted freehand, allowing their imagination, personality and creativity to take the lead.

And every octopus turned out completely unique and not a single one looked like another. 💙

Perhaps that’s the most beautiful part of creativity- when we stop trying to be perfect and simply allow ourselves to be ourselves.

Along the way, I shared some fascinating facts about these incredible and intelligent creatures — did you know that octopuses have blue blood, three hearts? 🐙💙

A little bit of art, a little bit of science, lots of laughter — and a whole lot of joy.

Thank you to everyone who joined me today. You brought your own colour, your own energy, and your own very special octopus to life. ✨

Today’s Saturday Art Class was all about celebrating progress.

We’ve decided to finish our Van Gogh Sunflowers paintings at this stage, and what a beautiful journey it has been. As always, every artwork turned out different, unique, and full of personality—just as art should be.

Today we also began a new adventure: painting an ocean wave. Every great artist starts somewhere, and I truly believe we are only at the beginning of our creative journey. With every brushstroke, we learn, grow, and become a little more confident in our own artistic voice.

Keep painting, keep exploring, and most importantly—keep enjoying the process. 🌻🌊🎨

Looking for a fun and creative activity these school holidays?

Join us for a relaxed, colourful art experience designed for kids aged 9–14 years. These workshops are all about creativity, imagination, and having fun — no pressure, no perfection, just the joy of painting and exploring colour!

🌈 Kids will learn simple painting techniques while creating their own vibrant artwork to proudly take home.

Today was our 5th lesson, and I finally felt confident enough to let my beginner students start working on one of the most famous paintings in the world — Van Gogh’s Sunflowers 🌻🎨

Learning to mix complex yet harmonious colours is a must when studying Van Gogh’s style. We are exploring his unique brushwork, where every brush stroke has a purpose and remains visible rather than blended away. It is fascinating to see how texture, colour, and movement come together on the canvas.

We’re also learning about Van Gogh not only as an artist, but as a person, which makes the experience even more meaningful.

As always, our Saturday morning class was filled with creativity, laughter, learning, and great conversations. Every week I watch my students grow in confidence, and it’s wonderful to see what they can achieve with practice and patience.Next week we are planning to finish our Sunflowers, let’s see🥰

Saturday Morning Art Classes ✨🎨

Every artist starts somewhere.
All of my current students are complete beginners. Just a few weeks ago, many of them felt nervous about picking up a brush, convinced that they “couldn’t draw.”
We started with the fundamentals — learning colour theory, creating our own colour wheels, understanding how colours work together, and building confidence step by step. Then we moved on to sketching our sea turtle and spent two lessons bringing it to life on canvas.
Now we’re getting ready for our next exciting project — Van Gogh’s Sunflowers! 🌻

One of the most important lessons I teach is not just about painting. It’s about trusting the process. Every artwork looks unfinished and messy at some stage. The magic happens when you keep going.
I always tell my students: if they can do it, so can you.
You don’t need talent.
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to know how to draw.
You only need the willingness to start.
If you’ve always dreamed of painting but felt afraid, uncertain, or thought you weren’t creative enough, my classes are designed for you. Everyone is welcome, and every artist was once a beginner.
