And with that… we’re closing the lid on another season of Dracula.

Seeing this production come alive night after night at His Majesty’s Theatre has been incredibly special. From gasps to standing ovations, we just love seeing you embrace Dracula in all its dark, dramatic glory.

"With too many highlights to simply continue to list, West Australian Ballet’s Dracula was a visceral, interactive, whole-of-body experience …those who watched and listened tonight were, at multiple times, taken deeply into their very souls."

Another review!

"So many aspects of this production completely blew me away...The skill and strength shown by both dancers portraying Dracula; old Dracula played by Ludovico Di Ubaldo and young Dracula played by Jurgen Rahimi, were phenomenal. The transitions between the two were so seamless that the audience could be heard gasping and asking, “Oh my god, where did he go?”"

Dracula was thrilling, emotional, and visually stunning from beginning to end. I attended the performance with no prior knowledge of the storyline, which allowed me to fully immerse myself in every twist and turn of the plot. The dancers from WA Ballet brought the narrative to life beautifully along...

Dracula spotted on the cover of this week’s Western Suburbs Weekly.

“Everything that has happened so far is thanks to her,” Jurgen Rahimi says of his late mother.

“She was behind me for so long, sacrificing and working two jobs as a single mother of two, and yet she never let me miss anything in my life, especially when it came to ballet…I’m happy to make her proud.”

Ahead of tonight’s opening performance , the Solo Artist shares the deeply personal story behind his journey to ballet, and why he’s excited to step into the roles of Jonathan Harker and Young Dracula in this return of Dracula.

“Hitting the stage after rehearsing with all the lights, costumes, make-up and music. It’s the best feeling that everybody’s looking forward to, both the dancers and the audience.”
