My last day with was truly special. We exchanged (ninti) knowledge and created natural dye baths using locally foraged plant materials and ochres. After simmering the vats for a few hours over the waru (fire), the canvas off-cuts and raffia absorbed incredible colour.
To top it all off, we shared a hearty lunch and the best damper I’ve ever tasted.
