One Space Acting is one on one tutoring/coaching for anyone interested in building their craft as an actor. The private sessions are led by Perth film director, teacher, producer Steven J. Mihaljevich who recently wrote, directed and produced the WA psychological award-winning thriller movie VIOLETT. Steven's other directorial credits include the award-winning indie crime drama set in Swan View, THE XROSSING (2020) and another Perth Hills survival horror movie currently in production, S-H-E-D. Steven's background extends to both acting for the stage and screen, scriptwriting, editing, performance teaching as well as a background in education including coordinating Specialist Drama programs and teaching specialised drama electives for years 7-10, as well as MPA media & ATAR drama years 11 and 12. Steven has worked with some of Australia's most respected actors including Angela Punch McGregor, Kelton Pell and John Jarratt. Sessions run between 60-90 minutes, (1-2 times a week) and are designed to be relaxed and fun, focusing on building craft and confidence. Sometimes students will work on script work in performance, including duologues and monologues, other times coaching is designed to help understand the psychology of acting. Each student is supported differently, depending on their background, confidence and what they want to achieve.
