This adorable kiwi lesson features two national symbols of New Zealand, the kiwi bird and silver fern.

We enjoyed the process of creating scraped feather texture on their painted kiwi and then had the opportunity to use a paintbrush and line to create the fern background.

Simple and cute are the words for this cute kiwi lesson!

Students had the opportunity to express their individuality and turn theirs into a simple self-portrait that shows what they want to be when they grow up.

Some other options were self-portraits, portraits of family members, friends or even famous artists are all possibilities.

We focused on balance, value and form as students fold and cut the shape, add colour and make the symmetrical paper peg doll actually stand up.

Every single one is unique!

own vibrant Middle Eastern cityscapes using chalk pastels. Each cityscape then finished off with a starry night sky.

Don’t you just love the vibrant colours?!
