Established in Perth, Western Australia 30 years ago & is one of the leading highland dance schools

The Scottish Highland Dance Academy was established in Perth, Western Australia over 30 years ago and is one of the leading highland dance schools in Australia. Over the years our dancers have enjoyed many competitive successes together with achieving many personal goals. Our dancers currently hold championship wins in most states of Australia including with the 2012 junior Champion of Champions of Australia winner Sophie Massy. Classes are held in Perth suburbs both north and south of the river. Our classes cover championship, competition, examination and floor show display work with our dancers being trained by seven qualified teachers.

The Armadale Highland Gathering is fantastic event that gets better every year.
Congratulations to the City of Armadale.

It is our favourite competition on the Western Australian calendar and from a lot of hard work, 2026 delivered excellent results for our dancers.

From our under 7’s, some dancing for the first time, to our Premiers dancing beautifully, Morven back on the boards after 6 months, for you to collectively take out all the major prizes including our Eilidh winning the Dancer of the Day, we could not be prouder of your efforts, as you should be of yours.

Thank you to all our teachers, coaches, parents, relatives and friends for your time and support you always give to our team.

We would also like to thank Highland Dancing Western Australia for their presentation to Millie acknowledging her place in the Juvenile World Championship final in Scotland last August. We appreciate the flowers and perfect gift for a dedicated Western Australian dancer who has always competed at all local Perth competitions.
Another proud moment for all associated with SHDA.

Some happy snaps of our day.
