“Transformation” is the title of my mobile installation now on show at the 2024 Mandorla Art Awards exhibition at the Holmes a court gallery in West Perth. Open Tuesday-Saturday from 12am-5pm till 15 June. Do visit this wonderful exhibition with works from 41 Australian artists based on this year’s theme “Refocus” inspired by the biblical text from 1 Corinthians 16:14 “Let all that you do be done in love”. I am very honoured to be included as one of 41 finalists in the 2024 Mandorla Art awards. The Mandorla art award is a contemporary fine art award in conversation with a biblical text open to all artists Australia wide. The theme for the 2024 Mandorla Art Award is: REFOCUS

What brings me joy as an artist is that my art can make a difference in someone’s life. This commissioned portrait of two young lovers captured an intimate moment in time many years ago. It now means so much to the lady in the picture because she can relive that memory of her late husband. I am deeply grateful to her for entrusting me with this watercolour portrait.

It is my tribute to the Tresillian Arts Centre, which is home to a vibrant and supportive arts community. It is truly a sanctuary for the arts in the city of Nedlands, Western Australia.
