✨ Exciting News ✨

I have some important news to share — Tindale Designs has officially been passed on to the wonderful team at Sea of Silks.

This hasn’t been an easy decision, but I feel truly reassured knowing the business is now in such thoughtful and capable hands. Omila, the driving force behind Sea of Silks, shares a deep passion for celebrating and supporting sustainable textiles, which means so much to me.

Sea of Silks is known for sourcing beautiful, rare handwoven fabrics and scarves from India, and now also offers luxurious silk yarns. I’m so excited to see what you all create with these incredible materials — the possibilities really are endless.

I can’t wait to watch this next chapter unfold under Omila’s care. Sea of Silks is based here in Perth, and you can explore their collection online:
https://www.seaofsilks.com

Please allow a little time for the yarns to be added to the website. In the meantime, if there’s something you’re interested in, feel free to email Omila directly to arrange payment and postage.

You’ll also be able to see Sea of Silks in person at Craft Alive in Perth — such a lovely opportunity to experience the range up close.

Thank you all so much for your continued support — it has meant more to me than I can ever fully express.
Sending you all so much love 🤍
As for me, I’ll be spending more time creating, learning, and sharing — and I’ll still be around here too :)
Happy Creating Shelly

Back on the loom and gosh, it feels so good. I forgot how meditative weaving can be 🤍

✨ Handwoven White Scarf — made with Super Textured Cotton
✨ Handwoven Indigo Scarf — made with Textured Cotton | Hand-dyed in indigo

The difference between the super thick and regular textured is the super thick is much fluffier. Both are now live on the website ❤️

Tindale-designs.com

After many wonderful years, I’ve made the decision to close the TindaleDesigns website at the end of June.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person who has supported my yarn business. Your kindness, encouragement, and loyalty have meant more to me than I can ever truly put into words.

Now it’s time for me to slow down a little and spend more time creating.

If you’ve had your eye on something, please don’t wait — once it’s gone, it’s gone! Use code 20%OFF to receive 20% off everything while stocks last.

Depending on stock levels, I may do a couple more markets later this year.

I’ll still be keeping my social media pages active and (hopefully!) sharing lots of the things I’ve been creating.

Big love, Shelly

🧶 Two New Yarns Have Arrived!

I’m excited to introduce Albany Wool from Western Australia and a gorgeous Dark Blue Linen.

Albany has a rich wool history — it even had its own woollen mill, where the local wool was woven into blankets, carpets, and mats. You might still have an Albany blanket tucked away from years past — they were the thing back in the day!
This beautiful Albany Wool dyes like a dream — we tried it in indigo yesterday, and the result is absolutely stunning.

The Dark Blue Linen is equally lovely — super strong, beautifully textured, and a joy to work with.

Both available online !

INDIGO WEEKEND 💙

This weekend I had the joy of learning indigo dyeing from one of Albany’s best — Ann W. She shared a wonderful recipe I’d never tried before, and I learnt so much! Spending the day with Ann and Jane made it extra special — I’m so thankful for the experience.

I dyed some treasures I picked up from Fibres West along with a few skeins of my Wild Tussar Silk. Since it’s a yellow-based fibre, many of the yarns have come out in gorgeous greens and teals. I can’t wait to weave these up!

Totally worth having blue hands!!! 💙🖐️
