In case you missed the news, Emily Lam Kngwarray is open at Tate Modern London and wowing crowds. We are thrilled a@d honoured to have been able to help bring this milestone exhibition to British and European audiences together with our long-time partner and new-time partner ! The snapshot at the end of these images are of an Edinburgh couple we bumped into on a London bus who had just been to see the show and were writing on a beautiful Kngwarray postcard. They said it was the best exhibition they’ve seen in forever!

Congratulations and heartfelt thank you to and our wonderful arts partners . Quite possibly the most searingly beautiful, intimate and utterly devastating exhibition to command the austere architectural spaces of our Brutalist state gallery. The enormity of the human toll of the systemic dehumanisation of First Nations peoples in our country, the impact on ongoing generations of lives as a result of the nuclear tests at Maralinga, and the fragility of life and culture in the face of such devastation couldn’t be more powerfully communicated than through the work of this truly great Australian artist.

A wonderful 2 days in Kambri on Nunnuwal/Gnambri Country with our partner for Director Maria Balshaw’s warm and inspiring Betty Churcher Oration, followed by the media launch of the exquisite exhibition EMILY KAM KNWARRAY. It is super exciting that this exceptional exhibition will be presented at in 2025. Huge congratulations to co curators and , the Kngwarray family and Utopia community on this incredibly beautiful and moving exhibition. All the best for the official opening party tonight!

We are beyond thrilled that 55,000 visitors have enjoyed Ever Present: First Peoples Art of Australia in its first three weeks at Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki. Kia ora 🙏 heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Curator Tina Baum, to all the artists of Ever Present and to the inspiring cohort of the Wesfarmers Arts Indigenous Leadership Program Co-Covenors for their visionary work that bring us ever deeper into an appreciation of the power and authority of First Nations art and culture.

We respectfully acknowledge the Ancestors, Elders, leaders and artists of the unceded Country and homelands where the art in Ever Present was created.

We recognise their ongoing connections to Country, Community, culture, and histories and recognise those individuals who are on a journey reconnecting to and reviving what was taken from them.

We celebrate the art, cultural expression and stories that they share with us here today.
