OUR FRIENDS || JOEL BRAY: HOMO PENTECOUS

Next month, PICA - Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts’s foyer will be returned to a performance space for actor, dancer, writer and proud Wiradjuri man Joel Bray’s return to WA. ‘Homo Pentecostus’ sees Bray lead an odyssey of self-discovery and liberation in an intimate and ecstatic exploration of his secret q***r identity within the confines of a 1990s Pentecostal Church. From the humble church hall to the vibrant disco dance floor, ‘Homo Pentecostus’ peels back layers of conflicting allure and hidden shame to illuminate a quest to embrace our true selves.

23 – 26 October | 7pm
