The Glass Flower Bar

The Glass Flower Bar The Glass Flower Bar creates handcrafted glass flowers, jewellery and remembrance pieces from my studio in Western Australia.

Every piece is individually lampworked using traditional techniques and designed to last a lifetime.

Some commissions ask me to create something beautiful.

Others ask me to help keep a memory close.

These flowers hold cremation ashes and will become part of a family’s story.

Every time I make a remembrance piece, I’m reminded that what I do isn’t really about glass.

It’s about love.

It’s about remembering someone in a way that feels personal.

It’s about creating something that can sit in a home, quietly reminding the people who loved them that they’re still part of everyday life.

Those are the commissions that stay with me long after the kiln has cooled.

Hi, I’m Jennie, the artist behind The Glass Flower Bar. Alongside my botanical glass art, I create remembrance flowers that gently preserve love, memories and the people who will always be part of someone’s story.

A slow kiln opening shows Jennie carefully removing five handcrafted glass flowers from the kiln: a rose, two poppies, a small chrysanthemum and a large chrysanthemum. She gathers the flowers in her hand before holding them up to the camera. The flowers contain cremation ashes and are part of a bespoke remembrance commission. On-screen text reads: “Some kiln openings mean a little more than others…”
