Competitions are about more than the placings.

It's about the journey from learning the routine, to understanding it, to working as a team and growing.

Then; showing everyone your love and passion on stage.

As an adjudicator, I want to remind everyone that in Australia, there is no overruling or governing body which aligns competitions and eisteddfods in scoring so it truly is just one person's (well educated) opinion.

As a teacher, I couldn't be more proud of these 5 hard-working and beautiful young ladies from The Dance Stage, Malaysia for their consistency and growth with this routine.

As a dancer, I am more and more grateful for the friendships and life lessons competition dance gave me. The trophies collect dust (I honestly have only kept 5 from the years) but the memories and friends remain strong.

The best weekend at Diamond Dance Competition with so much Perth talent!

I love being back stage and of course, MCing is always so much fun!

Let dancers be kids! More thought needs to go in to the creation of performances to ensure we aren't giving children themes and choreography that is too mature for them. Music and costuming is part of this too!

A week since being home from QLD and Ipswich Junior Eisteddfod - Dance and I'm still loving the memories through the photos of the performers I watched. ❤️

Happy 80 years IJESI Dance, thankyou from the bottom of my heart for having me and letting me LOVE each performance that took to stage. 🥰

I had the most incredible 2 weeks in Brisbane for the Ipswich Junior Eisteddfod - Dance and their milestone 80th year!

The technique, artistry and sheer talent blew me away in every session! Well done to every studio, teacher and performer for the hard work that was presented on stage. I couldn't be more thankful to be able to adjudicate you all!

Thank you to the convenors, Brooke and Morgan for inviting me back this year and especially for the early arrival in order to co-adjudicate the Gala Night of your Groups Champions. It was such a fun and rewarding start to the Eisteddfod!

I am so grateful to Jake, Erin and Laura for looking after me as well. You truly are all angels and made my time difficult to come to an end.

I proudly represented Australian Dance Adjudicators and i look forward to a day in the future to work with you all again.
