Today was changeover day for paintings at the Pop Up Shop. Heaps of beautiful work by talented local artists to see. Today I played with materials - a little bit of practice what you preach. I really do believe that play is important to us as humans - the chance to be creative without judgement - and I had fun doing it! I am doing a free online workshop course with Nicholas Wilton. We were encouraged to think of a feeling before we started - I wonder what you feeling you get from looking at this?

One of the things I loved about studying was the chance to explore and play in my art. Many adults forget about the power of play! This artwork was fun to create and combine some media that traditionally would not go together. It was created on heavy watercolour paper with charcoal and embroidery/stitching.

I am currently displaying some of my artwork at the Armadale Society of Artists Pop Up Shop. I am very thankful for this opportunity and enjoyed my day on roster yesterday. It was so lovely to look at all of the artworks and creative goodies on display. If you are after a unique gift, a handmade card or something to brighten up a wall it is well worth taking a look.

Look what arrived yesterday! I decided to finally make some business cards. They are very basic at the moment and just have my social media details (QR codes on the back). I figured I could write my phone number on for people I want to give them to. I think perhaps setting up an email address may be a good idea too … something to work on.
