The Last Course draws on the European ritual of finishing a meal with coffee, extending time at the table after dessert into
conversation and pause.

A hand pours coffee from a percolator into two small espresso cups, held mid-gesture, the moment suspended as if time has slowed. The act sits quietly between preparation and farewell, marking a final step that lingers rather than concludes.

Behind this, an Italian courtyard frames a long table. Two chairs remain empty, positioned as an invitation within an otherwise gathered scene. The setting holds both presence and absence, where the table suggests continuation beyond what is shown.

The Last Course sits within this in-between space, where dining becomes less about ending and more about staying a little longer.

It’s has been a busy couple of months getting works ready for the Seat At The Table at .
This is quietly but loudly a big achievement in my practice, getting to showcase my work to the public in a gallery setting.

I feel validated in the sense that someone (Abbey) has seen my work, appreciated it and thought to share it more with the people of Perth. I’ll be forever grateful for that.

My work is peculiar. It’s the storytelling of the observations of my (subjective) childhood memories growing up around a Macedonian culture. It’s a narrative about my identity that is being challenged in the sense of what I know to be true about myself, what I thought was true about myself and truth of people around me. To me it’s forever growing and expanding into another world in itself.

To have people come to the gallery, talk to me about my work and tell me about their interpretations & how it shows up for them, is so so so interesting, I love it. & the fact that it resonates and connects people to a part of their own memories is truly incredible. Art is powerful, fun & complex all at the same time.

If you haven’t had time to see the show and would like to, it’s on until the 21st May at the Oxford Street Gallery, Mount Hawthorn.

To be able to also share this with my family, my number 1 supporters, how lucky am I.

Photographic Collage Prints, 2026

Seat at the Table opens to and from May 7th-21st at

This is my first group exhibition with a gallery, alongside a small selection of artists, and honestly… it feels like a real milestone in my practice. Quiet, but big.

I’ve been creating new work for this show over the last few months, centred around the dining table & food as a lens for culture, memory and connection. Still-life scenes, fragments of childhood, moments that feel intimate but somehow universal.

The table has always held more than just meals.

Growing up with Macedonian cultural roots, food was never just food. It was care. It was pride. It was routine. It was a language. It was also hierarchy, expectation, unspoken tension. The kind you feel in the room even when nobody says a word.

And that’s where my work keeps returning.

I build my paintings through photographs, collage & manipulation. I’m always chasing that nostalgic feeling, like the viewer has lived it too, even if they haven’t. A memory that doesn’t belong to you, but still feels familiar.

These are 3 collage prints that will be available to purchase at the gallery from May 7th. If you’re interested, contact for the catalogue.

Next month I have something exciting in the works which I can share very soon 🤭🤗

Getting closer now to finishing this one off. Starting to come together with all of the details and the palette being nice and harmonious.
I wasn’t too sure about this composition when I started it but just kept going and trusting it would turn out how I hoped it would.

So I realised that I don’t have a small enough paint brush to do these people so of course, a reason to buy art supplies.

I think I seen something I shared a while ago that said “I don’t want to paint small again”. Welp. The size here is about 10 × 12” (25 × 30cm) and the people in this scene are like 5-10cm in height so… I lied to myself.

I will say that now I have started to slowly paint other areas, I’m seeing it come together, even if there is a long way to go. I wasn’t too sure & I have some bad thoughts about my skills, the composition and all that comes with that. The mental game.

These notes are basically dissecting technicality.

I started glazing the background and I forgot how much I loved and missed doing it. It’s my thing but I think, no, actually I know, that I don’t “do it properly” but I’ve created my own rhythm with it and it works for me. It’s something that I believe differentiates my work, you know it’s mine. Painting with transparent layers gives depth, shows the thought process of the artist, you see either mistakes or drawings that the artist decides to exclude from the finished painting. It’s fun & I plan to keep exploring this way of painting and see what comes of it.

This image however is me trying to paint small with a smallish, but not small enough brush. I actually liked how it gave a bit of an impressionistic vibe too.
