NEAPOLAXI is an Australian multidisciplinary artist, electronic producer & vocalist making crunchy deep-fried pop, digi-dream, deconstructed club, noise & crackd post-internet music.

After releasing her debut EP ‘Ketamina Ballerina’ in 2021 on TAR Los Angeles, NEAPOLAXI took to the live stage in the heart of Boorloo / Perth’s experimental electronic & internet music scene.

NEAPOLAXI’s experimental production style is a playground of mercurial frequencies. Sometimes cracked and chaotic; other times floating through unsettling tapestries of vocal manipulations, rolling beats & layered harmonies.

Failing Upwards, the ongoing alias of Chris Cobilis, works in the long shadow of late-20th-century conceptualism, folding film scoring, installation and procedural performance into a practice that treats sound as both material and thought experiment.

From self-duplicated record-shop replicas to the multi-device micro-drama of INSTAPHONICS, Chris navigates the frayed interfaces between technology, perception and non-music with a misanthropic humour that feels increasingly diagnostic.
