A MESSAGE FROM OUR TEAM
We take the integrity and professionalism of our competitions very seriously.
We have a clear position when it comes to the poaching or inappropriate recruitment of students and we will not tolerate this behaviour within our events or the wider dance community.
Unfortunately, an incident of this nature occurred at our April competition. Following the incident, the studio owner involved was prohibited from attending our events.
We are deeply disappointed to learn that despite this action, the same individual continues to make direct contact with young dancers through social media.
We believe dancers should be able to attend competitions in a safe, respectful and supportive environment, free from unsolicited approaches or attempts to recruit them away from their existing studios.
We will continue to stand by our decision and take appropriate action where necessary to protect the integrity of our events and the dancers, teachers and studios who participate in them.
Professionalism, respect and integrity are not optional.
