🪓 All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy 🪓
It's not perfect, but here's a relatively quick digital portrait/ colour study from yesterday.
With the rapid & rabid increase of gen AI that's suffocating our every day lives, I've found myself increasingly reluctant to post online and also reduced my desire to do any art. It feels pointless when a bunch of greedy, beige milquetoast techbros can just scrape every existing bit of digital content to train their digital black hole with no regulation or repercussions. Forever taking and not giving anything back (because it's never for the benefit of humankind, but for profit).
Thankfully there seems to be a growing movement of people who are pushing back, who are still creating despite the dystopia of the current system and people supporting actual art and artists. It's been really positive to see and gives hope to this one person of many who has spent their life creating and trying to improve their art.
Be the change you want to see in the world, or something.
Anyway, long story short; f**k AI. I'll try not to be a doom spiralling saddo and do more cool art, even if I don't post it ✨🖤
