Jamie is back....say his name!!! hahaha with another jam packed Musical Theatre Workshop culminating in a performance.. And yes, it’s the one and only BEETLEJUICE! 🪲

Over six 2-hour sessions Jamie will teach you the songs (and your harmonies), some movement and explore characterisation. You will work as a group to perform this item at the Dance Workshop End of Year Party at The Rosemount on Monday Dec 21 (evening show).

🗓 Course Schedule:
Sundays: November 8, 15, 29 and December 6, 13 at 11:00am
And Saturday Dec 19 at 9am

This course is suitable for all levels of singers and dancers. BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME! This is for those that love to perform and have a great time!

We understand that we're all adults and that you may have to miss out on a session due to "life". And that's ok. Please be mindful though that all participants are required to register for the course in full, and missed sessions cannot be credited or refunded. You will also need to provide your own costuming. This will all be discussed during the sessions and Jamie will definitely seek cost effective options of sourcing from you already have.

Ballet Repertoire Course: Giselle - Act II - Dance of the Wilis

Each Sunday for 2-weeks
Starting November 1
From 10:00am

Ballet repertoire classes focus on learning and performing the recognized choreography from famous classical or contemporary ballets.

Unlike typical ballet classes that focus on technical exercises at the barre and then the centre, repertoire classes focus on the performance and artistry and storytelling. Students learn short solo or group dances (called variations) to match original orchestral music of the famous ballet pieces with adjustments made to accommodate the level of the class.

This course will cover the variations from Act 2 of Giselle, Dance Of the Wilis. The ethereal, and whimsical scenes from the forest. Students are encouraged to dress the part in the final week of the course.

This course is targeted towards Elementary Level and Intermediate/Advanced level students. This is not ideal for beginner level students.

📣📣 We also have Giselle - Act I - Peasant Dance starting on October 11. Please visit our website for more booking details. See you in class!

Have you ever wanted to take a Hip Hop class in Perth and you know you have the passion for it? Look no further because The Dance Workshop has a full Hip Hop dance basics course with the one of the best instructors in town to create the most solid foundation.

Our Hip Hop BASICS course is designed to help students develop their rhythm and discover their confidence and build the freedom of freestyle dancing. Our instructor teaches basic moves or steps as well as “party dances”. We also value the historical and cultural significance of Hip Hop dance and therefore it’s weaved into every class.

Our instructor, Big Will , brings a wealth of knowledge. He has been a senior choreographer and hip-hop dancer/teacher for over 20 years. He started his crew in Bali back in 2000, since then he has performed, competed in dance battles and judged dance competitions all over south-east Asia and now Australia.

We can’t wait for you to join us - if you have any questions about our course please do not hesitate to contact us!
