Hey guys i have decided to auction off a pair of 1500mm reef dalight bars to go towards the go fund me page for Oli from reflections over in Vic. The auction will end Wednesday at 5pm wst and proof of payment to the gofund me page must be made before collection. Please keep them in $5 increments. Collection from Darch or Kings Park

So just a few details for tomorrow.

Sales start at 11am sharp. With each purchase from a seller or Aquarium Gallery you will receive a raffle ticket that will give you an entry in the raffle. The raffle will be drawn around 1:30pm. Additional tickets can be purchased for $2. Note: we will contact you if you're not there to claim your prize. All proceeds of the raffle go towards future events and running of the wafragswap.com website.

Some sellers will be cash only. Others will be able to accept both cash and card.

Aquarium Gallery have 25% off corals, and a huge 50% off selected Aquaforest and Your Choice Aquatics products.

There will be a free face painter for the kids between 11am-1pm, bbq and soft drinks available on the day. If you would like to donate something please place change in one of the donation tins but please note that there is no expectation to do so.

We would love to say a huge thank you to our major event sponsors Waterbox Aquariums and Coral Essentials for the epic prizes they are offering on the day. We would also like to thank all our minor sponsors and the team at Aquarium Gallery for opening up their doors and all the work they have done.

Just over 1 week to fragswap! Who is getting excited? I know we are!

Just a quick post to let you know we are bringing the Frag Swap event at Aquarium Gallery on October 24th forward an hour. The frag swap will officially open for sales at 11am sharp.

There will be a bbq cooking up a storm on the day. There will also be raffle tickets and plenty of in-store fragswap specials on the day.

I can't wait to see you all there and further bring the WA community together for what is shaping up to be a great event!

A bit of background about why we have created WA Frag Swap.

As many of you may or may not be aware it goes against Facebook community standards to sell livestock, including coral on their platform. Facebook algorithms are getting smarter everyday. They are beginning to pick up the use of the words "holiday" or "pm for details" as code 'for sale'. There have already been instances of pages closed due to the repeated violation of these rules.

Therefore the team at WA Frag Swap has created wafragswap.com to allow the West Australian reefing community to buy and sell coral from the comfort of their lounge room whilst promoting sustainability in marine aquarium keeping and supporting the social aspect of the hobby and events.

If you're interested in registering as a seller please pm the page for more information. The small 3% commission on any sales goes towards continuing to support and build on the platform.

We just received a notification to let us know we are in the top 16% of shopify stores worldwide and we haven't even finished the month yet!!!
