After an AWESOME last show for the year at the Wray Hotel this week (30 singers! 🥳) I wanted to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported me over the last few years and more specifically the last 12 months.
I have so many people to thank, but firstly all of the beautiful regular faces I have had the privilege of seeing most weeks/lots of weeks at the 7th Ave this year 😍 - Gerard, Denese, Maureen, Vicki, Gaylene (the aunties), Megan, Matty, Oreo, Shanini, Reannon, Lockie, Bodie, Justin, Steven, Cheryl, Tex, Shawn, Sheryl, Michelle, Zero, Rubee T, Big Deazy and all of the other gorgeous faces I have been lucky to see, even if only once - you are the reason I am filled with joy every week. And YOU are the reason karaoke has stayed alive at the 7th Ave. I am eternally grateful to you all. For every person who won the Golden mic, and for everyone who had the courage to get up and give it a go - you are the reason I love karaoke!! 😍🥰🎤🔈
For all of the gorgeous regulars at the Wray Hotel who have been there from the start, Gaybee, Shaz, Joe, Bec, Dion, Hector, Misael, Debbie, Sunshine - what a journey this year has been has been but gosh I am glad you stayed for the ride. From some weeks where there was only 4 of us singing in rotation haha to last Wednesday ending the year with 30 singers - I am so grateful to you all for believing in me and continuing to come back and support me! To those who have recently found me and stayed - Ant, Michael, Paul S, Nina, Paul N, Gordon, Ilona, Hector L, Rupert, Dan and everyone in between - thank you for your support and making karaoke at the Wray so fun!
To Debbie, Keith and Stu for covering shows for me when I had to work, my dad for not only covering shows but also helping me set up and pack up whenever he had time free from all of his own gigs, and giving up many Saturday and Wednesday nights to support me since moving back to Perth, my darling Scott who has also given up many Saturday and Wednesday nights to support me and help set up/pack up and while not musically/karaoke inclined has found himself learning more about my karaoke computer program than I ever knew, to help trouble shoot and fix things! To my mum, my friends and wider whanau who have come to shows and supported every chance you have been able - everyone has helped so much over the last 12 months and over the last few years and I couldn't have done it without each and every one of you 💜
From me to each and every one of you - Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season! I cannot wait to see you all in the New Year for many more karaoke shows and fun times together.
