What stayed with me was that nothing in it was forced. Not the colour. Not the figure. Not the meaning. It all formed naturally, and only later did I understand what I was looking at.

For me, this piece feels like that moment where you stop fighting what is happening and realise you are being held by it.

Where everything felt close yet far away.

I stripped it back, let colour take over, and the figure formed on its own. Later, I understood it as the part of me that thought it was falling, until I realised it was held in colour.

There are moments where everything starts moving at once, and you feel it before you can explain it.

This piece came through in one of those periods. It followed Fragmented Dreams, and for me it carries that feeling of standing in front of a rush of thought, vision, feeling, and possibility, all moving at once before the next chapter has fully revealed itself.

Emergence is the body of work I’ve been building through this chapter in Phuket. A series of original paintings shaped by change, pressure, instinct, and return.

There are moments where everything starts moving at once, and you feel it before you can explain it.

It came after Fragmented Dreams, in a period where I could feel new things opening in my life, but I still couldn’t see clearly what was on the other side. It felt like standing in front of a waterfall of thought, vision, feeling, and possibility, all pouring down at once.

Emergence is the body of work I have been building through this whole chapter in Phuket. A series of original paintings shaped by change, pressure, instinct, and return.

I nearly gave up on this one.

This piece went through a lot before it became what it is. There were moments where I came back the next day, saw what had dried, and thought about scrapping it completely. But that’s part of how I work. I stay with it, push further, and trust that there is something more on the other side if I don’t let go too early.

That’s what Coming into Being holds for me now. Not perfection. Not certainty. A real crossing. A work that only became itself because I stayed.

I know exactly what it carries.

This piece came out of a chapter that was pushing and pulling at the same time. There’s heat in it, tension in it, and something in it that kept asking for more until it finally held.

That’s why people keep coming back to this one. It doesn’t give itself away straight away. It keeps opening.

Solar Genesis (2024) is the first work of the Emergence Series — the point of ignition that set the cycle in motion.

The painting radiates with fiery tones of orange, red, and gold, erupting outward in a burst of light. Its energy is primal, evoking both the beginning of a star and the inner spark that ignites transformation.

Created in late 2024, Solar Genesis marked a turning point in my practice. It carried with it the sense of renewal, of beginning again — not only in the studio but in life itself.

At its core, this work is about origin: the moment something unseen becomes visible, when silence breaks into force, and a new cycle begins.
