What Now Then?

What Now Then? Real conversations about relationships, recovery, mental health, personal growth and creativity.

Sharing stories, insights and perspectives that help people navigate life's challenges, find purpose and keep moving forward. As time progresses, I hope to not only showcase my own ability's as a DJ, but those of many others I know at present from years of friendship, to anyone I have the honour of collaborating with on this journey, deeper into the industry of... Electronic Dance Music!

🎙️ "I'm Officially An Idiot!"

I managed to do something spectacularly unhelpful and accidentally deleted the original YouTube channel 🤦‍♂️😂

So, we rebuilt from scratch as fast as I could. Unreal!

I’ve just uploaded the first video:

"Why I Created What Now Then? | The Story Behind the Podcast"

In it, I talk about why I started "What Now Then?", what the podcast is all about, and the kind of honest, real conversations I want to bring to the show.

If you were subscribed before — or if you’d like to support the podcast as it gets started — I’d really appreciate you heading over to YouTube and "subscribing to the new channel".

Every subscription, like and share helps massively while I build the channel back up.

🎥 "Watch the video, subscribe, and come along for the journey."

Set against the stunning backdrop of beautiful Western Australia, What Now Then? is a podcast built around real conversations, real experiences, and the moments in life that make us stop and ask… what now then?

From right here in WA, we’re creating a space for honest stories about life, relationships, recovery, personal growth, creativity and everything in between.

A lot of people confuse being needed with being loved.
They become the fixer.
The listener.
The rescuer.
The reliable one.
The person everyone calls when things fall apart.
And while it can feel good to be useful, it can also become exhausting when your value starts depending on how much you give.
You are still worthy when you rest.
You are still worthy when you say no.
You are still worthy when you choose yourself.
Being constantly available is not the same as being deeply valued.
Healthy people won’t only appreciate you when you are useful to them.

🎙️ SEASON ONE — HERE WE GO!!!

After a couple of months of planning, collecting equipment, changing things around, testing, learning and slowly putting this space together in my spare time… the What Now Then? studio is finally finished.

What started as an idea has gradually turned into a space that I’m genuinely proud of — built specifically to create the kind of conversations I want this podcast to be known for.

And now comes the exciting part…

🎬 Season One of What Now Then? is about to start filming.

This isn’t about polished conversations where everyone says the right thing.

It’s about real people.
Real experiences.
Relationships.
Mental health.
Recovery.
Growth.
Success, failure, mistakes, change — and those moments in life where you suddenly find yourself asking…

“What now then?”

I’ve invested a lot of time, thought and effort into creating a professional studio where guests can sit down, forget about the cameras and just talk.

The equipment is ready.
The cameras are ready.
The studio is ready.

Now it’s time to tell some stories.

🎙️ What Now Then? — Season One coming soon.

This is where it begins. 💙

Apologies matter.
But they are not the whole repair.
“I’m sorry” means very little if the same pattern keeps repeating.
Words can open the door, but behaviour has to walk through it.
Real repair takes ownership.
It takes reflection.
It takes changed actions over time.
A genuine apology doesn’t just want forgiveness.
It wants understanding.
It wants to learn from the damage and make sure the same wound isn’t reopened again and again.
Sorry is important.
But changed behaviour is where trust starts to rebuild.

Some people hear accountability as criticism.
They hear honesty as rejection.
They hear boundaries as punishment.
They hear difficult conversations as conflict.
But accountability is part of healthy connection.
It says, “This matters enough to talk about.”
It says, “I want this to be better.”
It says, “Your actions have an impact.”
Being held accountable does not mean you are a bad person.
It means there is an opportunity to grow.
The strongest people are not the ones who never get things wrong.
They are the ones who can look at themselves honestly.

Pain changes people.
It can make you more guarded.
More reactive.
More suspicious.
More careful with your heart.
And sometimes that makes sense. You were hurt, and your mind tried to protect you.
But there comes a point where protection can become a prison.
You are allowed to acknowledge what hurt you without letting it become the only way you move through life.
Pain can explain some of your reactions.
But healing is learning that it doesn’t have to define your whole identity.
You are more than what happened to you.

Sometimes growth feels uncomfortable because people still expect the old version of you.
The version who said yes too quickly.
The version who tolerated too much.
The version who stayed quiet to avoid tension.
The version who didn’t know their worth yet.
But healing means changing. It means learning, adjusting, and becoming someone who makes different choices.
You don’t owe everyone continued access to a version of you that only existed because you were surviving.
Growth will confuse people who benefited from your old patterns.
That doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.
It means you’re becoming more honest with yourself.

When life changes, it’s natural to ask, “Why me?”
Why did this happen?
Why didn’t it work out?
Why am I here again?
Why now?
Those questions are human.
But sometimes the question that moves us forward is different.
What can I learn?
What do I need to change?
What is still within my control?
What kind of person do I want to become from here?
And maybe the biggest question of all:
What now then?
Not as a panic.
As a starting point.
Because life will keep changing. The question is whether we can meet those changes with honesty, courage, and a willingness to take the next step.
