Statement from Andrea Thompson, former chair of the Board of Q***r Arts Alliance.

I have advised my colleagues on the QAA Board of my resignation.

When I started QAA it was my intention to promote LGBTQIA+ people’s involvement in the arts at the grass roots and professional levels. My intention was that the organisation would create safe and nurturing spaces for LGBTQIA+ people to engage and thrive in the arts and that we would unswervingly promote equity and diversity, and stand against injustice and oppression of LGBTQIA+ people.

I wish the Board well with their future endeavours.
