Your primary classroom is about to get CREATIVE! 🎨
Hosting a full-day workshop in 3 weeks that will change how you teach visual art. No matter if you're an art specialist or teaching art for the first time, this is for YOU.
Here's what's inside:
🧠 Learn WHY art matters — the research behind cognitive growth, social-emotional learning, and student wellbeing
✏️ Understand children's drawing development — so you can support every student exactly where they are
🎯 Walk away with REAL ACTIVITIES — practical, curriculum-aligned ideas you'll use in your classroom Monday morning AND we'll be spending time in the gallery!
💪 Boost YOUR confidence — teach visual arts like you mean it
📍 Zig Zag Cultural Centre, Kalamunda
📅 Tuesday, June 9th (Full Day)
🔗 Register now — limited spots: email [email protected]
This is the PD you've been waiting for. Let's make visual art unmissable in primary classrooms. 🌟

Honest question for primary teachers.
How many of your art lessons end with kids who never actually got to MAKE anything? Because instructions ate the lesson. Because the materials weren’t ready. Because you weren’t sure what to teach next.
This is the workshop I built for that.
ENGAGING VISUAL ART IN THE PRIMARY CLASSROOM
Tuesday 9 June · Zig Zag Cultural Centre, Kalamunda · 8:30–3:00 · $550 (lunch in)
One day. Hands-on. Mapped to V9 / WA Curriculum, Years 1–6. You leave with: a cyanotype unit (printed work in your hands by 3pm), drawing-development guidance by year level, frontloading techniques that protect your studio block, and WALTs/WILFs/assessment criteria for every year.
For generalists AND specialists. Whether art makes you nervous, or whether you’ve been teaching it for 20 years and want sharper tools.

Do yourself a favour and go and see Anita Phillips’ breathtaking exhibition ‘Clouds for Mountains’ at .artspace this weekend. Each piece, from the intimate studies to the monolithic cloudscapes connect us to something that is infinitely larger than ourselves. Seeing in real life is a must.

Today is

31,000 Australians are currently living with NETs, and it’s the 7th most common cancer in Australia.

Please join me to raise awareness of this cancer, as the average time it takes a patient to be properly diagnosed in Australia is 5 years.

It has vague symptoms that often mimic other conditions like IBS, menopause, asthma, anxiety and diabetes.

46% of patients are stage 4 at diagnosis.
