Western Theatrics is thrilled to present The Drowsy Chaperone JR, coming to the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre this October!

When a die-hard musical theatre fan puts on the record of his favourite 1920s musical, the show suddenly bursts to life right before his eyes! What follows is a delightfully chaotic wedding day filled with a glamorous showgirl, a nervous groom, a very drowsy chaperone, mistaken identities, meddling gangsters, outrageous characters and, of course, plenty of show-stopping musical numbers.

Packed with big laughs, catchy songs, colourful characters and classic musical-theatre charm, The Drowsy Chaperone JR. is a hilarious love letter to musicals and the joy they bring.

We’re officially OPEN!

After months of rehearsals, laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of “Oh, the thinks you can think,” we finally welcomed our first public audience to Seussical JR.

From the mischievous Cat in the Hat to the tiniest Whos and the fiercest Jungle of Nool, our incredible cast has brought the world of Dr. Seuss to life with so much heart, energy, and imagination.
