Our SDS acro students have been working incredibly hard, and their improvement is a reflection of their dedication, trust, and willingness to keep pushing forward. We are so proud of each and every one of them and the way they continue to build each other up in class.

Welcome to team Sofia! Sofia will be taking private vocal lessons on Saturday mornings at our Cottesloe Studio. Be quick to book as places are limited.

Sofia has been trained triple threat from the age of 6 specialising in both contemporary and musical theatre vocals, jazz, tap and ballet ( Gail Meade Performing Arts ) , and also both screen and play acting. She has performed in various musicals/community theatre with notable roles including Ariel Moore In Footloose (2025) Heather Duke in Heathers (2024) Ali in Mamma Mia (2023) and Ariel in the Little Mermaid (2022). Sofia also started her songwriting journey at a young age being recognised for her own original music at the age of 14 winning Fairbridge songwriting competition 2021, and two of her songs have Won a West Australian Music (WAM) Song Of The Year Awards for the 14 years under (2023) and Act Belong Commit category (2024) ! Sofia performs locally around Perth with some of her larger performances including One Big Voice opening Artist at the RAC, National Anthem for Wildcats NBL, She was the 2023 winner of the Sound Of Italy at the Regal Theatre, and was asked back as a guest to perform at the 2024 Sound Of Italy. Sofia is currently studying at the Western Australian Academy are performing arts studying a diploma of music specialising a musical theatre.

A special congratulations to Phoebe Chee on her week at , Sami Chee and Mille Falconer for their contemporary , Azura and Bailey for Musical Theatre , Isabeau for performing in Coppelia and many of our senior students who have been on their school dance trip in Sydney .classes

We are so excited to welcome .mccormick to our SDS Teaching Team for 2026!
Kailee McCormick is a dancer with experience across corporate events, theatre, film, and television. Trained in all styles of dance, she has performed at major events including the Amway Japan LAS Awards Show, Sydney Food & Wine Expo, Royal Randwick Races, and The Next Step Australian Tour.
Her screen credits include appearances on Network 10’s Paper Dolls, music videos, and short films. Alongside performing, she is an accomplished dance teacher and acrobatics coach, having worked with leading studios across NSW and WA.
Kailee completed a Cert IV in Dance at Village Nation in 2023.
