Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Members of the Nepean District Music Academy Community,
It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform you of the difficult decision to close Nepean District Music Academy. After much deliberation and reflection, we have come to the conclusion that due to personal and financial reasons, we can no longer continue operating the school.
This decision has not been made lightly. Opening August 1st 2005, Nepean District Music Academy has been more than just a place of learning; it has been a community where students, families, and teachers have come together for just short of 2 decades, to share in the joy of music. We are incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together and deeply grateful for the support, dedication, and passion that each of you has contributed to making our school a special place.
Unfortunately, the challenges we have faced over the past months have become insurmountable. On a personal level, we have encountered circumstances that require my full attention and focus, making it impossible to dedicate the time and energy needed to continue running the school effectively. Additionally, the financial strain of maintaining the school has reached a point where it is no longer sustainable.
Please know that this decision was made after exploring every possible alternative to keep the school open. We understand the impact this closure will have on our students, their families, and our staff. We will do everything in our power to ensure a smooth transition for all, including providing guidance on alternative music education options for those who wish to continue their studies.
If you have any remaining credits or fees paid in advance, please contact us to discuss refunds or other arrangements. We are committed to handling this process with fairness and transparency.
We have made the decision to close at the end of this month with Friday the 30th being our last day open, please feel free to continue lessons up to that point in time and week to week payments will still be accepted.
Thank you for the trust you have placed in us over the years. It has been an honor to be part of your musical journey, and I will always cherish the memories we have created together. I hope that this doesn't stop your musical progression and that you continue to engage and learn music and appreciate the joy that it gives as much as I have.
