CALLING WESTERN SYDNEY ARTISTS

Submissions are now open for our visual artist residency!!

RAT LAB will support 4 early-career visual artists from Western Sydney to build community and develop their creative practice.

Stage 1: 1-7 February 2026
A week of living together, creating and building community with fellow artists.

Stage 2: Mondays Feb/March 2026
Six group studio sessions where artists focus on developing their practice.

RAT LAB is a space to connect, experiment and explore ideas, without the pressure of creating finished work!

Join us next Wednesday 5th November, 6:30pm at Thornton Community Centre to celebrate all of the western Sydney artists that have contributed their work to the second issue of 😄📖 💓

Our August meet up is this Saturday!

Are u a local artist looking for connection with other creative humans? Our monthly artist meet ups are a space for the local creative community to come together, chat, eat snacks, make things if you feel like it, or just exist in the presence of some cool rats.
