From our small local businesses to our major sponsors, every contribution plays a vital role in bringing this event to life and supporting local projects and community groups.

We’d also like to thank our competitors, stallholders, and the amazing crowd who came along to support the rodeo — your energy, enthusiasm, and love for this event are what make it so special.

Thank you to our volunteers for their support across the event and on the night. We truly appreciate the help from local groups who assist in making the rodeo run smoothly, and we’re proud to be able to give back by supporting those groups in return.

Today is the day!! Only a couple of hours to go!

We’re getting excited… the arena is up and ready to go! 🌟 The weather forecast is still perfect for rodeo conditions. 🌞

Gates open at 4 PM, and the dust starts flying at 6 PM!

Family entertainment with Brutus the Bull starts at 4.30pm.

Here’s everything you need to know for tomorrow:

🔸 Car parking is through the Cameron Street entry – all competitors must enter via this gate.
🔸 Foot traffic only via the John Street entry.
🔸 No BYO alcohol.
🔸 Bring a chair or rug to sit on.
🔸 Plenty of food and drinks will be available.
🔸 Camping is available (no power) – first in, best dressed.
🔸 Wristbands MUST be worn at all times on the rodeo grounds – this includes competitors, volunteers, stall holders, sponsors, and general admission.
🔸 Enjoy live music from Suburban Henry after the rodeo action!
🔸 The Big Screen will be up, so you can catch all the action on replay.

⛺️ RODEO CAMPING – PENOLA 2026 ⛺️

Free camping will be available at McCorquindale Park for the Penola & District Community Rodeo on Saturday, 17th January 2026.

🏕️ Limited sites available – please arrive early to secure your spot.

Important camping information:
• No power or running water is available at the campground
• Dogs are welcome at McCorquindale Park but remain the responsibility of their owners
• No dogs are permitted within the rodeo event grounds
• STRICTLY NO FIRES
• Separate camping areas are allocated for competitors and the general public
• If you are already camping onsite, you must attend the gates to purchase a wristband before entering the rodeo grounds

🕑 Camping opens from 2:00 PM

For those wanting powered sites, water, or additional amenities, Penola and surrounding areas offer a range of accommodation options.

We kindly ask all campers to be courteous and respectful of others. The rodeo grounds are surrounded by residential homes, so please keep noise to a minimum and behaviour respectful.

Attention all local Barrel racers! We have the local barrel race competition on again this year at the Penola and District Community Rodeo.
Great prize money! Get in quick on the 17th January, as there are only 10 spots available. Register with the Rodeo secretary on the day, office opens 2pm.

*Criteria - Local is classed as within a 60km radius of Penola.
