🏁 ROSEDALE SPEEDWAY – RACE DAY RECAP! 🏁
What a night for the team at Rosedale Speedway! 💪🏆
With Trent having the night off, the boys stepped up and put in a solid performance, with Steve Overton taking the reins in the pits and helping keep everything running smoothly.
🟠 SHANNON OVERTON – SECOND EVER RACE!
Shannon continues to show great promise in his second-ever race in the Divi 2 Hot Rods! 👏
His first heat ended in a DNF due to a wiring issue, which was quickly sorted by his dad, Steve. Shannon bounced back strongly, finishing 4th in both his second and third heats.
Unfortunately, just as he was putting together a great run in the final, a front-end failure brought his race to an end with another DNF.
Despite the setbacks, Shannon showed some really good pace and is slowly getting the hang of the car. The potential is definitely there, and with more seat time, we’re excited to see what he can do! 🔥
🔵 CHRIS GREAVES
Chris put together a solid night, finishing:
🥈 2nd in Heat 1
🥉 3rd in Heat 2
🥉 3rd in Heat 3
🥉 3rd in the Final
Chris put together consistent results throughout the night, giving the team plenty of positives to take away.
🏁 THE BIG PICTURE
With a smaller field of cars racing tonight, the main goal was to get some extra seat time, work through any issues and build consistency across the night. Both drivers did exactly that!
Although there were a few mechanical gremlins along the way, the boys showed great determination, and there were plenty of positives to take away. Both drivers are learning, improving and building momentum as the season progresses.
A massive thanks to Steve Overton for stepping up in the pits tonight and helping the boys out while Trent was away. Also, a huge thank you to the pit crew who travelled down and gave the team a hand. Your time, effort and support are greatly appreciated! 👊❤️
