This is what Sunday was all about.

When a project goes exactly as planned.

It's common that plans fall apart. Something doesn't work how you expected it to.

Here at Chip Off The Block Sanctuary we embrace those moments and learn from them. We grow from them and improve not only our skill but also our resilience and problem solving skills.

But when it does go to plan it really is a moment if joy.

Yesterday, Chip Off the Block Sanctuary had the pleasure of helping celebrate 30 years of

For five solid hours, Holly, Nikki, Cillian and I were kept on our toes helping a seemingly endless stream of young builders create their very own wooden toolboxes.

There were hammers swinging, nails flying (mostly in the right direction!), plenty of laughter and lots of very proud little faces.

A HUGE thank you to Holly, Nikki and Cillian. We barely had time to stop for a drink, let alone catch our breath, and I genuinely couldn't have done it without you.

It was chaotic, exhausting, and an absolute blast!

Thank you to McNab for inviting us to be part of such a fantastic milestone. What a way to celebrate 30 years!

And what a way for us to learn a few new tricks along the way. 😂

Set up and ready to go for 90 kids.

Term 4 is well under way.
And we have kicked off with a bang.

This Sunday I get to run a workshop at a big event making toolboxes with 90 kids.

I was lucky to have help in the prep.

Please ignore my lack of safety glasses. 🤦‍♀️
That's a big no-no for the record.

Watch out for information on this year's Showcase Spectacular!!!!

Look what these incredible women made! 🛠️

Saturday was our Ladies DIY Workshop, and what a day!

We spent the day learning how to safely and confidently use a range of tools, practising some basic home maintenance skills, patching plaster, and then putting those new skills to work on individual timber projects.

And these were the results! Three very different projects, designed and built by three very capable women.

There were plenty of laughs, lots of learning, and a few moments of “wait... I can actually do this!”

Thank you ladies for such a fantastic day. I absolutely loved having you in the workshop.

Grow. Build. Belong.
