In this series of paintings that are a part of Miranda Skoczek’s exhibition, ‘Red Ribbons’ the artist presents a ritual of the everyday, the flower, an object that evokes in all cultures fertility, growth and health - they are both metaphors for moods and the cycle of joy and loss in life and in nature.

While the departure images for Miranda Skoczek’s paintings in ‘Red Ribbons’ may have their sources in specific objects, locations, events and the natural world, they are at essence, intense and personal metaphoric psychological landscapes or mindscapes; expressive not only of emotional states, but of the power and magic of the life.

Miranda Skoczek’s work has recently graced the May 2024 cover of Vogue Living in the stunning Melbourne home of founder Rachael Fry as well as being featured in the first Australian exhibition of designer Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier early this year at Criteria Collection.
Pierre Yavanovitch and Miranda Skoczek share an inimitable sense signature aesthetic combining a mastery of oroportions, composition, colour and light and I am so thrilled for Post Space to be presenting this stunning exhibition.

Miranda Skoczek is a Melbourne based artist whose practice is based on her spacial and emotional responses to everything she consumes and surrounds herself with and
