Yesterday conditions almost perfect for golf with some struggling and some having their best rounds this year. Playing for the Two Farmer's daughters trophy 17 teed off in hope of winning the day. One young man must have said all his prayers the night before because Eddie Piggot came out firing with a personal best 72 off the be**er and 63 nett. Great effort from the teen, showing the rest of the field how it's done.

A grade winner Eddie Piggott 72/63
B grade winner John Sheehan 83/70

Long drive no4 Todd Baker

NTPs no one got close.

Championships results A grade Todd Baker won 5/4 from Dean Greafe
B Grade John Sheehan won 9/8 over Joe Piggot

Magnificent turn out for our evening meals, big thanks to Jenny, Denise and Belinda for all your help in the Kitchen, Johnny on BBQ duties

Next week is the 1st round of the Jim Davis Memorial shield at Jamestown let's hope Callum has the course in tip top shape as we defend our win from last year. More details will go out this week.
That's all for now

Cheers Captain Snowy ⛳️

Evening Swingers
Yesterday's weather consisted of light showers throughout the day followed by a down pour at the days end which not surprisingly have an effect on scoring. We have been very lucky with approximately 70 + mm falling for the month of May, so things are definitely getting out of control in places.

Thanks to Rastas we were Playing for the "Presidents" trophy stableford comp and with that we had 13 tee off with the hope of atleast the mid 30s stableford score but there would only be 2 players in the 30s and topping it off to take the win was Todd "The Boon" Baker. Out lasted the President who came up 1 point short in claiming runner up. Well done Boon.

A grade winner Boon Baker
B grade winner President Rastas
Long drive 5 Todd Boon Baker
NTP 14 . President Rastas
NTP 17 jack s**t

A grade championship round, we had Jackson Nutt v WoodDuck and it was Jacko with the bragging rights wining 2 up.

Thanks to those that have helped maintain the course, it growing very rapidly and needs alot of mowing.

Next week is the Two Farmer's daughters trophy, thanks to the team for your generosity.

Cheers Captain Snowy ⛳️

Evening Swingers

It was a cool overcast day with fresh cut fairways for the last qualifying round of club Championships. 12 players tee'd off including Simon Pollard from Laura who continued his tradition and taking his time to play a round at Orroroo every year and although his scores may not have reflected a great day I'm sure the ice cold cans afterwards along with the comradery ensured he went home happy, almost as happy as Simon " Pink Nuts the Snorter " McNamara who once again proved too good for the rest of the field, blazing away to win the day with his favorite 69 nett to win by 1 stroke from John Sheehan. Well done Pinky

A Grade winner 82/73 nett was Eddie Piggot who beat Paul Gameau on a
C/B.
B Grade winner Simon McNamara 81/69 nett

Long drive 11 Paul Gameau
NTP 6 Jacko Nutt
NTP 14 Grant "Rastas" Reddaway

Next week is the 1st round of the club championships and the Presidents Trophy, so I'll be busy this week preparing the championship draw. I will send out an email to all paid up members. Good luck.

Evening Swingers,
tonight you'll be treated to a double delight, with results from the last 2 weeks. On Saturday 9th May we played for the Store on Second trophy with a field of 14 players vying for one of Lynettes new Jackets.

Winner of the day was our sexytery Jason" WoodDuck" Wood, that's right played his best game to date carding a very fine 76/66 net. Well done Wood.

A Grade Winner WoodDuck 76/66
B Grade winner Matt Reid. 85/67

Long drive 9. Isaac Jesser
Ntp 15. Matt Dignan

Saturday 16th May

The Orroroo Golf Club enjoyed another fantastic day of golf over the weekend, with players taking advantage of the excellent autumn conditions and the course presenting in terrific order after 15 mm of rain overnight

A field 12 local members competed in the Perrys Fuel trophy, luckily the rain forecasted throughout the day held off, however scoring proved to be difficult for most of the field. Not so for Captain Snowy who had a purple patch during his round with 5 birdies in 6 holes to be crowned the days winner with 37 stableford points.

The highlight of the day was Simo trying to get his Magna up the newly graded road to the 8th hole following the rain, didn't go that well, in fact that was his biggest highlight for the day🤣

A Grade Winner Snowy 66/ 67 -37pts
B Grade winner Rastas 88/75 -29pts

Long drive 12 Jackson Nutt
Ntp no.14 Snowy

Following play, members and visitors gathered back at the clubhouse to enjoy refreshments, presentations, and a " Steak" night. A big thankyou to Nardine, Hanna and Kate for all the great work in the kitchen and Roundy and Gam for flipping Steaks.

The Orroroo Golf Club thanks all players, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters for contributing to another successful day and looks forward to welcoming everyone back for the next week.

Cheers Captain Snowy ⛳️
