A new take on an old classic

Story time.
I'm 63. (That's not the story, just context)
I like colour. Vivid, lively colour., so,..I often dress in colours, Multicolor outfits are my favourite.
So, I was walking through town last week, catching Pokemon and enjoying the sun, catching glimpses of my colours in the shop windows as I passed by. A number of people commented on the look, and no negatives at all.
THEN.... A bloke walked up and stood in front of me, smiled at me and said he liked my bright appearance and was the day good? I backed a step away and said yes, a good day. He stepped closer again and said that he liked my shirt (a loose fitting tshirt) and the wait bought attention to my b***s! He then reached out both hands and stroked then grabbed my t**s!!!. Said I should come with him to make his day colourful.
I jumped away and just stared at him in shock and horror. The middle of the main street of Fremantle! At 2pm in the afternoon.
What made him think that is acceptable??
Any blokes out there want to try and explain for me?
Anyway, he laughed and walked away. For him, that's the end of the interaction. Me? I'm questioning my clothing choices, my actions, my whole day to see where I made myself vulnerable.
*Sigh* it's just life in a patriarchy.
