Jan Spanjer recently held a mini workshop at our art rooms. He demonstrated the use of soft pastels and encouraged everybody to have a try.
All participants took home a piece of work to be proud of.

David Lake’s opening of our featured Artist Event on Saturday afternoon.
A beautiful and very
impressive display of landscape paintings, full of colour and atmosphere.
The exhibition will continue until the 26th June so do pop in and have a look!

A very successful day of a demonstration by Anne Howarth of using charcoal as an effective medium.
Thirteen people attended and all went home with some very fine works of art!

Message for members of the Orange Art Society
Thank you to the people who have volunteered so far for the Show roster and Gallery rosters for this weekend.

We still have a few spots to fill.
At the Show:
- 1 more person for Saturday 9am - 12.30pm
- 1 more person for Sunday 9am - 12.30
- 1 more person for Sunday 12.30 - 3pm (Jan Spanjer will be packing up after that if there is anyone to lend a hand it would be terriffic)

At the Gallery:
- 1 person for Saturday morning (during kid classes)
- We currently only have one person down for Sunday all day - so if you'd like to keep Kaye company for part or all day, please do so

We have at least 5 paintings for the raffle now, for those who have donated, thank you so very much.
And thank you to those of you who have already put your hand up to help on both rosters. We can't do this without you!

Monday group at it again!
This week's challenge was to create an abstract work using acrylic inks, a straw and a credit card.
This was the result!!

Tiny Books Sunday Sessions at Orange Art Society kicked off with a bang. Pat Slinn demonstrated how to make Tiny Books with attendees trying their hand at this very cool craft. Keep an eye out for our next session.
