Gaanha Bula, a modern Landscape of Mount Canobolas, the highest peak in the Central West. The painting captures its volcanic rise, shifting weather and the distinctive communication towers that define its summit – a familiar landmark anchoring the horizon above Orange. It is my favourite excursion area, which reminds me of my home state back in Germany where I grew up. The nearest mountain to my hometown was called Feldberg in the state of Hessen/Taunus which also had its TV towers right at the summit. Not only the towers are familiar, also the snow cover in winter is a reminder and I enjoy very much.
